Tropical in the south with areas in the north covered by a perpetual blanket of snow, the weather in Bhutan depends greatly on the region and the season during which you decide to visit. Spring and fall are ideal times to visit because they generally host warm, dry days and cool nights. Winter is cold, but the lack of other visitors and the Trongsa Tsechu (festival) make this time of year attractive to those impervious to the chill. Summer is the monsoon season and not recommended for travel in Bhutan.
