Best Time to Go
Mongolia has extreme continental climate with short warm summers and long cold winters. The best time to visit depends on the experiences you seek.
Peak season. Warm days (20-30C), cool nights. Naadam festival in July. Best for the steppe and Lake Hovsgol.
Golden landscapes, fewer crowds. Eagle hunting festivals in western Mongolia. Crisp, dry weather.
Extreme cold (-20 to -40C). Ideal for ice festivals and experiencing true nomadic winter life.
