Pleasant days/cool nights. Dry and cooler in the north. It can still be wet and stormy in the tropical north, so aim for late in the season if you’re heading up there
WINTER
Jun - Aug
The Australian Alps, in the south of the country, are home to great ski fields for winter sports and après enthusiasts. If you don’t like the cold, winter is the ideal time to visit the north. It's also whale watching season.
SPRING
Sept - Nov
Pleasant days and cool nights. Dry and cooler in the north.
SUMMER
Dec - Feb
Sunny, warm/hot days and cool/cold nights. Warmer in north and cooler in south.
